Welcome

FROM ECUADOR TO LOS ANGELES

The Escudero-Aguilar family is originally from a small town in the mountain region of southern Ecuador called Zaruma (Provincia del Oro). Mostly known for its gold mines, republic-era architecture, coffee, incredible culture and traditions, it also has a unique gastronomy that has been passed down for generations.

After spending their early years in Zaruma, most of my family moved to Guayaquil (Ecuador’s main port and biggest city). From there, my grandparents & 5 children immigrated to Los Angeles, CA in the late 1960's.

My Ecuadorian Kitchen is a collection of recipes that have been passed down through the matriarchs of my family, starting in Ecuador and now in Los Angeles. I am so excited to share them with you and hope you enjoy every bite!

Buen Provecho!
